Alternators

The TFs I've been waiting over 20 years for. Need...more...prettysss. Preciousss! My Preciousssssssssss!!

Included is the incredibly rare Red-box Tracks and impossible to find Swerve.

Tracks finally became plentiful, being re-issued in the Bubble packaging. Prowl has some variations from his Red-box release. Nemesis Prime and Rodimus were frustratingly difficult to get.

So, why do I have multiples of some Alternators? There are some duplicates because the packaging changed and/or I'm planning to do a repaint or parts swap. Although the "fishbowl" packaging allows more of the car to be seen, it can't be resealed after opening (like the older blue and red boxes) and is highly "disliked" by collectors (like myself).

The MISB Alternator Silverstreak is right-hand drive (like real Japanese cars and Binaltech Streak); the other (MIB) is left-hand drive (like real U.S. cars and Alternator Smokescreen). The RHD version toy is considered (by some) to be rare.

This pic isn't great (photographing through multiple layers of plastic ain't easy) but it should make the difference pretty obvious.

In addition to showing both packaging variants of Alternators Tracks, you can also see the relatively rare "Commemorative Edition" variant here.

Too bad the "C.E." of Tracks is a fake. Yep, 100% fraud, hoax, sham, swindle, deceit, etc. It started as a simple idea; use the "C.E." 1:25th scale model kit decals, Testors gloss-cote and some model-making skill to improve Alt Tracks. But, as April 1, 2006 rolled around, the temptation to cause some mischief was all too great. So, at ~1:00am EST, I claimed that I found "C.E." Tracks at the local Wal-Mart and let chaos follow. (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=95011). Little did I know, a Dutch message board stumbled on the above picture on 3/30/2006, adding unexpected credibility to my hastily executed hoax. (http://www.btfa.info/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=2910&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0). I finally revealed everything on April 2nd (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=97157). Read the threads to see the hoax.
